Dubai | Family Itinerary

The final stop.

We originally had not planned on stopping over in Dubai but when our flights got cancelled which resulted in a 24 layover we decided it was the universe telling us to stay a little longer. We ended up booking 3 nights at the Jumeirah Al Qasr to end our trip on a high.

This hotel was absolutely breathtaking. We arrived late in the evening but the staff were so helpful and welcoming. This hotel is 5 star and it is easy to see why. We started our first day off at their massive breakfast buffet.

The hotel has compliemtary boat and buggies driven by staff to get you around the massive resort. We planned on spending most of our time in Dubai relaxing at this incredible hotel which features a water park, turtle sanctuary, multiple restaurants and dining options, bar, pools and kids club.

Peacocks can be seen wandering the hotel paths which the girls absolutely loved.

Later in the afternoon we decided to check out the famous Dubai mall. It was really fun to walk around. The culture in Dubai is beautiful and it is easily one of the most safe places I have ever been. We witness mums leaving designer bag in their prams in the middle of the shopping centre and going to the bathroom - without a worry in the world.

In the mall you can see the outside of the Dubai aquarium which was amazing. We didn’t decide to go in as we thought the window out the front was incredible enough.

On day 2 of Dubai we had pre-booked a dessert safari tour. I highly recommend doing one of these tours there are heaps to choose from. We booked most of our tours through Viator. The dessert safari tour included Quad biking, camel rides, 4x4 dune bashing and a feast under the stars with traditional live entertainment.

If you ask the kids what was their favourite part of the trip they will both tell you Dubai. We all really loved it and can see ourselves coming back for at least a weeks holiday.

On our final full day we decided to head to old Dubai town and check our the famous gold markets. It was incredible to see a very different side of Dubai. We loved exploring the markets and picked up a few little pieces to take home. We headed back to the hotel for the afternoon. Soaked in the heat and the sun at the pool before our last dinner and an early bed time. We were leaving early the next morning for our flight and the hotel organised an entire trolly full of food to be delivered to our room for breakfast. The trolly converted into a table. It was magic to all of our eyes.

If you are thinking of a holiday to Dubai we really couldn’t recommend it enough. We don’t have a lot of professional photos from Dubai as they have really strict rules about taking photos in public places but I hope enjoy these little moments captured. I hope this encourages you to book your next trip to Dubai - you won’t regret it.
