Gold Coast Mt Nathan Wedding of Ces + Murray
Murray and Ces, where to begin… I am beyond excited to share this sweet wedding day with you. Each element so carefully planned and created by the couple. As we walked into Francescas beautiful Mt Tamborine Airbnb the morning of her wedding, it was filled with the scent of hand picked fresh flowers, warm tea as the girls giggled and helped each other apply their makeup. Snug on the cool winter morning they wore matching daisy pj’s and wooly socks. The garden filled with free roaming chickens, who would occasionally pop their heads inside the quirky home to check for any left over crumbs.
Ces had beautifully moulded and painted hand made pottery mugs for each of her maids, they sipped tea and created their own bouquets. It was calming to just be in their presence. Ces’s dress had been created using her mother’s wedding dress bodice and finished off with a deep red tulle skirt and tan booties from her travels in England. The girls doted sweet flower crowns made by Ces herself.
As we arrived at the Historic Rivermill located as the base of Mount Tamborine it was evident the little, loving details continued throughout the ceremony and reception.
The boys wore dapper navy blue cable knit sweaters matched with their tan shoes and little sprigs of floral boutonnières. Each guest was given a bell and as Ces and Murray had their first kiss under the dappled light of the large trees, each bell jingled and signalled the celebration was really only just beginning.
Cosy blankets and fire pits, canapés and mulled wine was shared before we made our way to the reception. Long wooden tables with hand painted illustrations - painted by Ces graced every table and each guest took home a hand made pottery bell to remember the occasion. Warm soup was served before mains and dessert.
The night was truly every part a piece of Murray and Ces and all that they are both individually and as a couple.
