When it comes to photography, natural light is one of the most beautiful and versatile lighting sources. Our Wellington Point Studio is Naturally Lit and the lighting in the morning is just divine for our In Studio Newborn Photography sessions.

One of the primary reasons natural light is so effective is its ability to produce soft and diffused lighting. On overcast days, clouds act as a natural diffuser, scattering sunlight and creating an even, soft illumination. This kind of light reduces harsh shadows and highlights, making it perfect for portraits and close-up shots where detail and subtlety are crucial. In our case its the soft white curtains that diffuse the sunlight. Works beautifully. Natural light provides an authentic and true-to-life quality that artificial lighting often struggles to replicate. Sunlight can bring out the natural colours and textures of the Newborns skin, making the images more relatable and engaging.
