I believe a Baby Portrait Photography Session, celebrates the beauty of life's earliest moments of your baby. It is about more than just capturing pictures of your baby, it's about preserving these memories of them and emotions in a tangible form. I adore capturing the nose scrunches, the cheeky smiles, the giggles, the small moments of joy as they clap their chubby hands and their pouts are filled with drool as they await their first tooth pegs. I feel honoured to have captured my clients babies, when they have been in the womb in a Maternity session, with a Fresh 48 Session, Newborn Photography Session and being able to offer a Baby Portrait Session when their baby is a little older. It warms my heart watching them grow and all the changes that occur in such a short time. Fascinating.

I usually ask my clients to dress their baby in something neutral, so that I can capture the baby’s natural uniqueness. Usually when a Sitter Session is booked we use our naturally lit studio, We focus on the adorable curl of a baby's fingers to their chubby rolls of their thighs, a birth mark, every detail is significant. I often employ a mix of posed and candid shots to showcase the baby's unique personality. I love the baby to either sit up if they can or on their tummy. I use mimimal props but welcome a soft blanket or a small wooden toy so the Baby is comfortable

These photos, become cherished keepsakes for parents, family members, and even the baby themselves as they grow older. In a baby’s first year there can be so many changes from new born to one, these portraits help to freeze a moment of pure joy and wonder, that can be revisited and cherished for generations to come. I know my daughters 8 and 4, love looking at their baby portraits and I hope they cherish them to show their children its so special.

Baby Portrait Photography sessions are a relaxed and beautiful way to capture your growing baby. Your sitter session will take place in a natural, light filled, homely studio when your baby is around 7-10 months old.
