Baby Aubrie / Brisbane Newborn Photography by Wylde Folk Studio

When trying to decide who you would like to capture your new baby the best place to start is by researching. There is lots of wonderful newborn photographers in Brisbane alone.

A few things to consider:

  • Their style. Each photographer will have a styling of photographing their clients and also a styling of how they develop their images. Make sure you resonate with the style of photography they offer

  • Experience. This ones important especially when you have someone handling your newborn baby. Have they got lots of experience with handling newborns. Have they done workshops, training and have safe and hygienic newborn practices. I would be making sure my photographer was a registered business and fully insured and vaccinated as a minimum.

  • View a full gallery. It is easy for a photographer to take one or two beautiful photos from any session but what you want to see is a full gallery. Does the photographer share blogs with what a full session can look like. One or two photos isn’t enough to create a gallery wall or full an album, make sure your photographer has consistency within their work and sessions.

  • Location. Does your photographer have their own studio or do they only offer in home sessions or outdoor locations. As much as a sunset session is beautiful It isn’t something I would normally recommend for a newborn session. Little babies have trouble regulating their body temperatures and therefore outdoor sessions especially in Summer or Winter can be tricky. It is hard to avoid things like sun, wind, and bugs during outdoor sessions which is why we recommend leaving these until Bub is that bit older.

We hope this helps you choose the perfect Brisbane Newborn Photographer for you!
